Background

Fred Goss has made a name for himself as an actor, director, writer, and producer.

Fred’s initial foray into directing was on the critically acclaimed ABC series ‘Sons and Daughters.’ He also served as co-creator, writer, producer and star of the series.

Fred’s first commercial project was directing a series of award winning spots for Coke Zero that came right on the heels of ‘Sons and Daughters.’

Within a year, Fred had directed spots for clients such as ESPN, Nike, Crowne Plaza, Office Depot and Burger King. He has worked with such agencies as Ground Zero, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Deutsch, Draft/FCB, Euro RSCG, Fallon and BBDO.

Fred continues to act, and recently took time off from directing to star in the ABC series ‘Carpoolers.’ Additionally, he has continued directing episodic television, including favorites such as ‘Community’ and ‘Happy Endings.’

Fred currently has TV comedies in development at NBC/Universal and Sony Pictures. He is writing his first feature script and hopes to get it in production sometime before he is eligible for Social Security.

An avid fan of The Grateful Dead, Goss attended about 100 Grateful Dead performances, beginning in the early ‘80s and up to the time of Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995. A highlight in Goss’ life was when The Dead allowed him to use some of their music in episodes of “Sons & Daughters.
